Picklecam Player Privacy Notice

1. Who is responsible

decides that its courts are recorded and for what purpose. It is the personal information controller for the recordings.

Picklecam (Machine Problem Corporation) operates the cameras and the recording system for the facility. Picklecam is the personal information controller for your email address and your Picklecam account.

2. What is recorded

Cameras fixed above the court record video and audio of the court for the duration of a booked session, and may also capture nearby seating areas and hallways.

3. Purpose

To produce match recordings and highlights for players, and to allow to review play on its own courts.

4. Legal basis

The recording is made by in connection with the operation of the facility, under Section 12(f) of the Data Privacy Act of 2012. For the person who booked the court, Section 12(b) also applies, as the recording forms part of the booking.

Your email address is processed under Section 12(b), as it is necessary to send you the recording you requested.

5. Your email address

An email address entered at a court tablet is used to send you your match recording and to give you access to your past recordings. Recently used addresses are shown partly hidden on that court's tablet so returning players can pick theirs quickly.

6. Retention

Recordings are deleted automatically 14 days after they are made.

Your email address is retained while your Picklecam account remains active, and will be deleted on request.

7. Access to recordings

Recordings may be accessed by:

• Authorized staff, for recordings of that facility's own courts.
• Authorized Picklecam staff, as required to operate and maintain the system.
• You, on request.
• Law enforcement or a court, on a lawful written request.

8. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you may:

• ask what personal data is held about you and obtain a copy
• have inaccurate data corrected
• object to the processing, or request erasure
• obtain your data in a portable format
• claim damages for misuse of your data
• file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission
